Composite Index for Comprehensive Assessment of Power System Transient Stability

چکیده
This paper proposes a Principal Component Analysis (PCA)-based method to construct composite indices rapidly assess power system transient stability. By assigning appropriate weights few selected sub-indicators, index can be constructed guarantee better coverage of worst-case stability scenarios the system. provides an automatic with four sub-indicators calculated by integral acceleration, speed deviation and rotor angle generators over certain integration period using PCA. The effectiveness is validated first, followed comprehensive example process construction, assessment influence effect on performance index. High accuracy classification has been demonstrated settings periods sub-indicators.
